Incident Description

Early this afternoon, Quint 22 was dispatched for an injured party from a welding accident. Arriving moments later at the large 800X150 manufacturing facility, personnel found a male subject suffering from 2nd degree burns.

Due to the remote location of the LZ from the incident, Engine 21 was requested to respond to the nearest suitable intersection and assume Landing Zone Division along with #1. Upon transport to the LZ by Medic #7, patient care was transferred to Memorial Heman Life Flight #7 with all units returning to service shortly thereafter with the safe departure of the aircraft.

Incident Description

Report: No Fire Walls To Block Townhome Fire
Two People Were Treated For Smoke Inhalation
The Cause Of The Fire Is Under Investigation
MIAMI LAKES (CBS4) ― A lack of fire walls in a Miami Lakes townhouse allowed a weekend fire in one unit to spread rapidly early Sunday morning to three other neighboring units.

The fire, which destroyed one residence and severely damaged the three others, has left four families homeless.

More than 150 Miami Dade firefighters were called out to battle the massive fire at the townhouse located in the 19-thousand block of West Lake Drive.

"We were asleep when we heard something, and then my wife told me it smells like something is burning" said a resident of one of the units that went up in flames.

The first fire crews to arrive the scene immediately called for back up when they saw walls of flames engulfing the building. In the end it took firefighters from 38 trucks and support vehicles two hours to put out the flames.

Munson Fire Department

Sunday, April 13, 2008

Incident Description

Munson Fire Department and Drumheller Fire Department responded to a grass/brush fire along the CN Rail Line located South of the Fox Coulee area burning approximately 40 acres and moving quickly by high winds and dry grass. A couple more minutes and the fire could have rushed up a grassy hill and burned out (2) large family dewellings, access was very difficult as the Badlands surround the Rail Line. We were only able to gain access by going North to the nearest crossing and running our new Rocky Mountain Phoenix Rattler built by Rosenbauer’s central plant down the rail line and being able to maneuver on and off the tracks as well as turning around on the tracks and extinguishing the fire & hotspots, while also supplying much needed water to fellow firefighters with back packs. Munson Firefighters feel this truck will be a very valuable asset to its fleet by being able access these difficult areas.

Sandoval County Fire

Incident Description

Empty trailer fire.

Rosenbauer Equipment On-Scene

It is the Pena Blanca Engine 25 at an empty mobile home fire. We had a county radio for use as a back up for our cell phones and heard the call out for a structure fire and proceeded to the scene where we found the truck. We approached the volunteers letting them know who we were and why we were there. We also helped out by laying hose, starting scene lights and Austin assisted in pump control.
The fire fighters could not stop praising their new engine, they totally love it.
